🔪 WHY I LOVE TRUE CRIME 🔪
True crime was my FIRST obsession. Before obscology. Before journalism. Before any of it.
There's something about a puzzle with human lives at stake that I can't look away from.
The Eclipse created a lot of new mysteries. But some of the ones I'm most interested in started BEFORE the sky cracked open.
🔪 FEATURED CASE: THE KIRA KILLINGS
Estimated Victims: 12-15 (possibly more)
Status: Cold case — open but inactive
I don't use the word "serial killer" lightly. New Tokyo has violence—we live in a post-apocalyptic city, obviously there's violence— but most of it is survival-based. Desperation. Hunger. Territory disputes.
The Kira killings are DIFFERENT.
📋 What We Know:
- Victims were always found near Eclipse fissures or areas with high Eclipse energy
- Bodies showed no signs of struggle — autopsies suggested victims were completely unafraid
- Cause of death varied — strangulation, blunt force, exsanguination — but all were killed quickly
- Every single victim had been reported missing at least two weeks before their body was found
The police called the unknown perpetrator "Kira" (not to be confused with the classic anime reference—though knowing internet culture, the killer probably chose the name intentionally).
The case went cold in early 2036. No arrests. No suspects. No motive.
Why weren't the victims afraid? Why did they go with Kira willingly? And why near fissures?
Here's what I think: Kira isn't a normal person. They're Eclipse-touched. Specifically, I think they can see ghosts.
If Kira can see the dead, they could approach victims in the form of someone the victim trusted. A lost loved one. An old friend. Someone who's already dead. The victim wouldn't be afraid. They'd be RELIEVED.
And the fissures? Maybe Kira needs Eclipse energy to maintain their powers. Or maybe they're leaving the bodies there as some kind of offering.
I don't know who Kira is. But I know someone who might.
🔍 CONNECTION TO OBAKE OSORE 🔍
This is speculative, so take it with a grain of salt.
But Obake Osore — one of the Saviors — has been able to see ghosts
since he was six years old.
His parents were murdered in 2034.
The same year the Kira killings started.
I'm not saying Obake is Kira. But he might KNOW Kira. Or he might be connected somehow.
🔍 OTHER CASES I'M FOLLOWING
Ruling: Heart attack (disputed)
Status: Officially closed, unofficially OPEN
In 2034, an elderly woman named Shimura was found dead on a closed-off street near an Eclipse Nova. Medics ruled it a heart attack.
Her grandson — a 14-year-old at the time — didn't believe it.
That grandson grew up to be Tantei Shimura. Yes, THAT Tantei Shimura. One of the Saviors. The one who used to be a police detective before he got fired.
I don't know what Akira found that made him so convinced his grandmother was murdered. But he was a detective. He solved cases. And he got FIRED for investigating something related to the Eclipse cult.
Either Akira is paranoid, or he's onto something HUGE.
I'm leaning toward the second option.
Ruling: Presumed suicide (no body found)
Status: Officially closed, unofficially OPEN
In 2036, a coffee shop employee named Hirotaku stopped showing up to work. Their apartment was found empty with signs of a struggle, but police ruled it a suicide because of a note left behind.
No body was ever recovered.
Here's the weird part: Hirotaku worked at the same coffee shop as Ikari and Akane — two other Saviors.
Akane especially was close with Hirotaku. After they disappeared, she became the "group therapist" and promised never to ignore anyone's feelings again.
If Hirotaku was suicidal, why leave a note but no body? Why struggle in the apartment? And why do all the Saviors seem to have a personal connection to mysterious deaths?
I'm not saying the Saviors are involved in anything bad.
I'm saying SOMEONE is. And the Saviors keep ending up in the orbit of very suspicious people.
Activity: Underground, secretive
Status: ACTIVE
There's a cult in New Tokyo that worships the Eclipse Deity. They believe the Eclipse Event was a divine act of creation. That the Titans are angels. That the Eclipse-touched are the chosen ones.
I've been trying to infiltrate their circles for months. They're hard to find.
But I know Akuma is connected to them. And if Akuma is connected, then the terrorist attack was PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER.
The cult isn't just a group of weirdos. They're organized. They have resources. They have PLANS.
And I think the Saviors are somehow connected to them.
I just don't know how yet.

I need to tell you something about Hirotaku.
They weren't suicidal. They were TERRIFIED.
Before they disappeared, they came to me. They said they'd found something. Something they weren't supposed to see. Something connected to the Eclipse. To the cult. To everything.
They said they were going to expose it.
Then they were gone.
I've been carrying this for years. I never told anyone because I was scared. Scared of what would happen to me if I talked. Scared of what happened to them.
But you're asking the right questions. And I trust you.
